Hi Morgan, welcome back to this discussion. The trend I am seeing at the moment:
- It is always helpful to have the hybrid ID of the plant or a name. Example: 'Cayetana' (JT.2012.0137.BEA.002).
- If it is clear to you: use the phenotype to name it additionally such as LH, HWH, PH, etc. Example: PH 'Cayetana'
- If you are not sure because you have a strange visual mixture (e.g. TH flowers on an Aporocactus plant), focus only on the ID and/or name
- DNA information will never lead to a name change in the hybrid world. But this DNA information can be very interesting for us to understand the possibilities or barriers of a future hybridization.
