Thank you Muddyliz, yes you are right about this it also crossed my mind to try acheiving this midstripe. Maybe L winteriana is a goid candidate!

This hybrid is from one of these crosses:

    BS.05.1301
    BS.05.1305
    BS.05.1324
    BS.05.1353

I agree I'm a bit easily offended right now, I over reacted, sorry!

I had trouble with some member of hybridenforum previously and therefore I mostly read here. When I posted again, after a long period of inactivity I interpreted your comment with hostility.

I'm not a member of AG as I wrote before so I find myself sovereign regarding my hybrids. I do not benefit anything from AG so I feel no obligation to conform to it's rules.

I posted my photos here in this section "general photos" because I have lost the label and information to parentage.

I uploaded a photo from last summer (I was not in a hurry to show anyone here my new hybrid). I usually only read here, mostly because I dislike authority which I don't think belongs in art (yes, I see our passion/activity as a form of art even though God does the biggest part of it).

A question: who decides which hybrids deserve a name or not, is there some voting or do we have formal popes?

Why I stick here is that I seek my people who, like me, enjoys beauty and pleasure!

(many cameras have a hard time capturing red or blue nuances, as I think of it photo #1 shows "reality" better then photo#2 which is distorted in colour absolutely not accurate to reality).

Here is another photo, to judge from. As reference it's "Superapricot" in the background (the others are mostly my own hybrids).

If the majority of this forum find it inappropriate of me to name my hybrids (for my own record that is) I will stop sharing here and use this forum passively (as I have done most of the time, I use it frequently though).

    @ Enrico

    Thank you!

Both photos ARE reality! I strongly dislike photoshop etc.

If I have a flower that I like, I give it a name. I haven't registered the hybrid anywhere, I won't do either (I'm not a member of AG).

I compared my "Stella-Maria" with e.g. the hybrid "Wörlitz" yesterday (a hybrid that is highly "modern" right now, maybe because of a dark red/magenta) and I personally think that "Stella-Maria" has something more then just it's magenta flower. Yes, the shape of the flower is not unique but it has broad petals, it's filled, it's got wrinkled tips of the petalsm dark filaments. I like it!

First photo is taken under less lit conditions, second photo is taken in bright sunlight.

I won't send it to a competition of hybrid of the year!

In echinopsis gallery (my public photo gallery) there is a feature to see all plants from the same cross if you put the crossing number in the information field.

If you'll upload photos and add the information for example RL.2006.32, thiswill show up as a click-able text, that when clicked brings up a new page showing all plants with this info in the field "crossing number" RL.2006.32 (the same way all information fields: Producer, Mother, Father, Crossing number works= when clicked shows all photos with the identical information in this field).

If you for example want to see all plants who have Flying Saucer as a father, you can do this by either making a search and click only "Father" in the search field, or just click the information field "father" (below the main photo). The same way you can browse thumbnails (miniature photos) from all plants from one producer etc.

The intention with echinopsis gallery is to produce a public online encyclopedia for growers, producers etc. so please

I would love to have your beautiful photos at echinopsis gallery, so please register and start using it!

To Markus F: I hope you'll see my page as complementary to hybridenforum, it's not a forum only a public photo gallery!

And in 20 years, a grey, old man with spiny hands will have overbuilt total Sweden with greenhouses, so the climate-change will be executed in Sweden. And Mexican visitors will come to Sweden to relax.

With this climate change progress I might be able to grow these in a field here in about 20 years.

Speaking about Mexico, I've sold some EH seeds to Mexico ones.

I always liked to push the limit. It can sound like a beginners enthusiasm, pushing it to far sowing all these seeds, but I am experienced (have around 10 years behind me in this hobby).

I try to live passionate, I love these plants and I want to do what is in my power to give my contribution to this hobby. I'm married since this summer and my wife is also pushing me with the same enthusiasm so I think there are possibilities that we will raise many of these plants to adulthood.

I have written it before, but maybe not all readers here have seen, me and my wife has just finished constructing a 162 square meters greenhouse this summer.

    Hi morgan,
and in about 3 or 4 years, your greenhouse will be too small :)

And I will have grey hair and spiny hands! :cwm69:

I will have to build another greenhouse, I know how to do it now!;)

To be serious: I think my greenhouse can take these seedlings up to flowering size before I'm out of space!
